Problems faced by the Indian musicians

India is a land which is famous for cultural arts. The best of everything from dance to drama and from art to music resides in India. Nowadays there are many young people who are getting very involved in the music industry in India. Learning old classical or Hindustani music from the actual Gurus today is gaining more recognition with every passing day. There are three basic choices of music which the Indian like. A major sector of the population loves the Bollywood music for its jazzy beats and chilled out lyrics. There is another section which has moved on to classic or new western music. The third section basically consists of the people who even today like to listen to the old Hindi classic music like Ghazals or Bhajans.

In any of these cases, the Indian musicians today are facing some very serious problems that the public has to understand and react to.

The exposure basically which the Indian musicians get is next to minimal. Consider playback singers in the Bollywood industry. Excepting the few recent times, they have never even got the kind of recognition they deserve. A song becomes famous because of the actors who are seen on the frame and the fact that who sang it hardly comes into the picture.? This is very unfair for the Indian musicians because what the normal public does not realize is that a musician?s life is not a cakewalk. They have to take very good care of their health and avoid oily foods so that their voice does not have any kind of problems. The musicians have to practice their music that is do riyaaz every day without fail. The musicians who sit and compose their own music lose track of time and keep endlessly practicing and working on their notes even late at night. All these efforts are ignored by the general public because these are not brought to their notice at all.

?Another worst condition which these Indian singers face is that they aren?t paid well at all for all the efforts that they take. The music is so amazingly created and lively performed but no one would pay a god amount and go for the concert of an Indian musician here in India. Internationally, Indian musicians are valued much more and their concerts are looked forward to but things will never work out if there is support missing from the home country itself. This in a way stops the newer generation from looking at it as a good career option and so music soon will be another dying art form in India.
